On November 18, 2025, YPD Karenland delivered urgent humanitarian assistance to internally displaced people (IDPs) in Tar Ner Auu Kloe, supporting families who continue to face the impacts of ongoing political conflict. This initiative reflects YPD Karenland’s commitment to protecting vulnerable communities and serving those experiencing hardship during crisis.
As part of YPD Karenland’s emergency fund program, a proposal was submitted to the Korea Hope Foundation (KHF) and successfully approved. The proposal supports 70 families (350 individuals) across two locations. During this first distribution, families received vital supplies including rice, cooking oil, eggs, split peas, canned fish, chili, chili pounding, salt, and MSG.
Many displaced families face ongoing uncertainty and struggle to meet their daily needs. By providing these essential goods, YPD Karenland aims to ease immediate hardship and ensure families feel supported during these challenging times.
A village leader expressed gratitude, saying:
“This is a great help for us during this difficult time. We thank the Korea Hope Foundation for providing support to our community. Even though you are not Karen people, your love and support make us feel that we are not alone. There are people out there who truly care about our struggles. Thank you so much to KHF.”
She added:
“During this season, it is very cold. We really need blankets, sweaters, and socks to keep us warm—especially for the children. If anyone would like to donate these items, we would be deeply grateful.”
This initiative aligns with YPD Karenland’s mission to uplift communities, provide relief during emergencies, and foster hope among those experiencing displacement.
