On November 9, YPD Karenland traveled to an IDP camp to reach out to people with disabilities, offering both essential support and emotional encouragement.
During this time of political instability, many people in Karenland are struggling to earn a living. For people with disabilities, life has become even more difficult. To help them, YPD Karenland has been raising funds through different community activities.
Our team worked together to sell vegetables from the YPD Karenland farm, make and sell snacks and juices, create handicrafts, and organize other small fundraising activities. With the money raised, we were able to provide support to people with disabilities who urgently need help.
During our visit, we also spent time talking with them to help them feel cared for and not alone. We offered encouragement and support through our actions, our words, and simply being present with them. We hope that this will give them strength, motivation, and a reminder that their lives matter and their community stands with them.
